Transform Waste into High-Value Energy with FastOx® Gasification Technology
FastOx gasification technology features a robust fixed-bed slagging gasifier designed to process a wide range of waste streams. This innovative waste-to-energy concept can provide a sustainable energy source that promotes energy independence while allowing facilities to safely and cost-effectively dispose of waste streams. Facilities that implement FastOx gasification technology can avoid fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The FastOx Gasification Process
FastOx gasification technology is highly adaptable and can be deployed across a variety of project types.
Preparation: Feed material is processed to meet the required size and composition based on the specific waste stream before entering the gasifier.
Gasification: Organic components within the waste are heated and react with steam and oxygen to generate a high-quality syngas.
Heat Recovery: As syngas exits the gasifier, heat is recovered to produce steam. This steam supplies the gasifier itself, while excess steam can be routed to downstream processes such as Water Gas Shift or power generation.
Refining: The cooled syngas is ultimately cleaned to meet the precise specifications required by the selected end-product production equipment.
Versatile, High-Value Outputs
The resulting syngas acts as a versatile, energy-dense intermediate fuel. It can be utilized to produce a variety of highly valuable energy products, including:
Electricity
Hydrogen
Renewable Diesel
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
Methanol
Methane (Renewable Natural Gas)
Safe and Sustainable Byproducts
The extreme high temperatures (> 2,200 °C) within FastOx gasification systems completely melt the inorganic materials and toxic compounds and form a glass-like, vitreous slag. TCLP testing shows hazardous metals are immobilized in the vitrified, non-leaching stone matrix.
